A Message from Buncombe County Health & Human Services
The last year and a half has been incredibly stressful and difficult on our community in so many ways, including significant impacts to businesses and our local economy.
Just over 52% of our total population is fully vaccinated. This means almost one out of every two of us is still unvaccinated.
Now with the highly transmissible Delta variant widely circulating throughout communities in North Carolina, we are seeing a significant increase in new cases in Buncombe County. There is substantial spread of COVID in Buncombe County and the level of transmission is rising not only here but also in the counties around us.
This is a time that requires action to keep businesses open and our community safe.
Buncombe County Health & Human Services invites our community's business owners to tune in for an important virtual Town Hall with local health experts and business leaders who will discuss current COVID transmission and action steps we can take together to shut down the virus.
STAND UP FOR YOUR BUSINESS | SHUT DOWN COVID VIRTUAL TOWN HALL | AUGUST 5 | 10 - 11 AM
Panelists: Stacie Saunders, Buncombe County Public Health Director Dr. William Hathaway, Mission Hospital Senior VP & Chief Medical Officer Fletch Tove, Buncombe County Public Health Emergency Preparedness Director
