New Accessible Asheville Landing Page Launching Soon
Update Your Business Listing To Include Accessibility Amenities

As part of our ongoing journey toward accessibility, we’re launching a new business listing landing page, Accessible Asheville, to highlight businesses that provide accommodations and services for people with diverse abilities. We want your help representing inclusive experiences to all Asheville visitors.

If your business is wheelchair accessible, neurodivergent-friendly, or provides accessible bathrooms, visual aids (such as braille), auditory guidance, accessible parking, or other similar amenities, please update your listing to help us showcase your inclusive experiences and work toward a more accessible Asheville for all.

Need help? Read the instructions or contact Partnership Coordinator Shelby Pearsall.

Skyview Golf Tournament Celebrates 64 Years
More Than 170 Golfers Welcomed to Asheville for Historic Tournament

The historic Skyview Golf Tournament celebrated its 64th year last week at the Asheville Municipal Golf Course (Muni). Explore Asheville partnered with four influential golfers to highlight the tournament's legacy as the longest running Black-owned golf event and to promote Muni as a top golf destination to a new generation of players. The Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority has invested more than $1.4 million through its Tourism Product Development Fund (TPDF), partnering with the City for a total of $3.5 million in renovations.

Explore Asheville greeted more than 170 golfers with welcome bags filled with local goods from The Gourmet Chip Company, Buggy Pops, Devil's Foot Beverage Company, and Big Frog Asheville. The tournament also supported local initiatives such as the Billy E.P. Gardenhight Scholarship Fund, which has awarded over $180,000 in scholarships to deserving students from underserved backgrounds.
