Call for Nominations: Heroes of Hospitality Awards
Nominate Your Hero by April 11 at 5pm
In celebration of National Travel and Tourism Week (May 4–10), Explore Asheville and the Buncombe County Tourism Development Authority are now accepting nominations for the 2nd annual Explore Asheville Heroes of Hospitality Awards beginning March 14.
As our community continues to rebuild and recover from the devastation of Hurricane Helene, the heart of hospitality has been a beacon of light. From restaurants providing free meals to residents and lodging operators offering accommodations to first responders, to welcoming visitors back to our community—the spirit of Asheville shines through our people and place. This year, Heroes of Hospitality takes on a new meaning as we recognize service employees/volunteers who maintained exceptional guest experiences even amid tragedy and unprecedented challenges.
Nominations will be accepted for non-managerial service employees or volunteers who:
- Have direct contact or provide support/entertainment to visitors and customers
- Serve as outstanding ambassadors of Asheville and Buncombe County
- Have demonstrated exceptional resilience and service through our community’s recovery
Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond in their service to visitors and guests? Nominate your Hero by 5pm April 11.
