The PGA Tour's Biltmore Championship Asheville tees off tomorrow and is expected to draw more than 100 players, thousands of spectators, and upwards of $10 million in direct spending.
Nearly 140 local businesses are taking part in Play Through the Mountains, an initiative built with the Buncombe County Strategic Coalition to help golf fans experience the region beyond the course. Visitors will follow neighborhood itineraries and a digital map, collecting stops in at least three different neighborhoods on a custom scorecard and redeeming it for a prize.
