COVID ALERT

Virtual Town Hall on September 2:
'Considering COVID Vaccine Requirements'

The Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a virtual town hall on Sept. 2,  from 9 to 10 a.m. to talk about legal considerations related to vaccines and the workplace.

Vaccines remain the #1 tool in shutting down COVID. While the number of fully vaccinated Buncombe County residents is growing, there is still a significant percentage of the population unvaccinated. With full FDA approval, more and more businesses are considering requiring employees to be vaccinated.

At the "Considering COVID Vaccine Requirements" virtual town hall, Sabrina Rockoff, managing partner of McGuire Wood & Bissette, will discuss legal considerations related to vaccines. County health officials will also be on hand to answer COVID health questions.

Get answers to questions that include:

  • Can I legally require vaccines for my employees?
  • What exemptions are there for unvaccinated employees?
  • What documentation can I require?
  • I want to give an incentive. What kinds of incentives might I consider? What do I need to take into account before offering?

Register now for this important information session for all business owners in our community.
