Expand your digital marketing skills, strategize how to reach potential visitors, and learn to tell your community’s story in a way that creates growth and success for everyone.

Join Us for the 8th Annual DIY Tourism Marketing Conference

Digital marketing constantly changes, but you don’t need to navigate those changes alone.

Effectively enticing visitors to explore your community, make a reservation, attend your events, and shop at your local businesses is tough enough on its own. It doesn’t get any easier when the platforms, tools, strategies, and trends constantly evolve with consumer behaviors. Digital marketing in the tourism, travel, and hospitality industries requires skill, strategy, and creativity. That’s why we created the DIY Tourism Marketing Conference and the NEW DIY 365: A Year-Round Learning Community.

Early Bird Tickets + Our New DIY Tourism 365 Learning Community are Here!

In its 8th year, this conference provides the latest digital strategies, resources, and tools to help you reach potential visitors and motivate them to visit. In addition, we are thrilled to introduce the DIY Tourism 365: A Year-Round Learning Community developed to help participants attract visitors, increase lodging revenue, engage residents, and create a vibrant local economy. We’ve created this program to help you level up your tourism marketing and navigate competition, changing traveler behavior, and evolving digital trends.

… And They Have Some Things to Say.

    This is an outstanding conference.

…Practical tools and strategies that you can implement…

It covers so many topics in a very personal atmosphere.

I enjoyed every session I attended. I only wish I could have been in two places at once.

    Why We Created the Conference

We created the DIY Tourism Marketing Conference because we believe the internet levels the playing field for everyone. Not every organization has the financial resources to hire an agency or digital marketing expert, but there are many effective strategies and tools for promoting your story and competing in the marketplace that you can (and should) implement on your own.

    What You Will Learn

Learn how to tell your story in a compelling way that reaches the right audience and encourages them to take action. Session topics change every year based on trends in the travel and tourism industry as well as cutting-edge developments in communications technology overall. Topics include:

      • Digital storytelling that reaches visitors and engages residents
      • Organic and paid social media strategy and best practices
      • Artificial intelligence marketing platforms and best practices
      • Search Engine Optimization and Google technology
      • DIY video marketing and graphic design
      • Digital advertising on Google and Microsoft
      • Partnership and influencer marketing tactics
      • Ethical marketing and the power of positive impact

    What makes us unique

The DIY Tourism Marketing Conference is not your average business conference. While other conferences may give vague recommendations and theoretical examples, ours is solely focused on teaching with a focus on real-life, personal examples.

It’s also held in one of the country’s fastest-growing tourism destinations: Asheville, North Carolina. Asheville is the ultimate tourism success story in the southeast, and we have hands-on experience growing our mountain town to where it is today. Enjoy the sights, sounds, and colors of the Blue Ridge Mountains while you gain new marketing strategies you can take back to your destination, attraction, or tourism-related business. Lastly, this event is offered in November so you can make an actionable plan to elevate your marketing results in 2025 and beyond.

Space is limited and the event is expected to sell out! Early registration is highly encouraged.
